Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM)

Last updated: 2/5/10

NCADV is still in discussion with other national groups about if and when DVAM will be changed from October to another month. No decision was made or has been made at this point and we are reviewing the results of the most recent survey of at least 3 surveys done with the field. We will give people as much notice as we can, preferably a year or more, if we decide to make the move out of October. Please continue to schedule your events in October or another month that works for your organization or state until a final decision has been reached by the groups working on this issue. Those groups are National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, National Resource Centeron Domestic Violence/PCADV, National Domestic Violence Hotline, National Network to End Domestic Violence, Family Violence Prevention Fund and a few other people with expertise or knowledge that will add to the discussion.
